The Alanya Municipality has introduced a comprehensive urban transformation plan covering all aspects of city development. The project aims to create a sustainable infrastructure, improve the transportation system, and develop residential and social areas.
Alanya’s Deputy Mayor, Servet Ünlü, announced that the project budget will be 7.5 million Turkish lira.
Over the next seven months, a vision for the city's development will be formed, with a clear roadmap planned until 2026.
The Chairman of the Board of the Alanya Chamber of Civil Engineers, Emrah Yılmaz, noted that this project could be the first of its kind in Turkey.
In addition to enhancing seismic resilience, the transformation will improve the quality of social life and create more modern residential spaces. Special attention will be given to the development of a master plan for the coastal zone to protect Alanya’s shoreline and integrate it with the marine environment.
İskele Street Renovation Completed
The Alanya Municipality has carried out a comprehensive renovation of one of the city's key streets. Deputy Mayor Sadık Dizdaroğlu confirmed the completion of the works and the upcoming upgrade of street lighting.
Renovation in the city center continues without interruption, including weekends. About 700 tons of asphalt have been laid on İskele Street, alongside sidewalk reconstruction and modernized lighting. The renovated street will be opened before the start of the tourist season.
Büyükhasbahçe Street Renovation
Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik inspected the progress of the major renovation on Büyükhasbahçe Street, which connects the city center with the northern districts.
The works began with the removal of old asphalt in the Hacet district. The road surface repairs are being carried out in line with local residents' requests.
Eastern Ring Road Construction Nears Completion
A tender has been announced for tunnel lighting systems on Alanya's Eastern Ring Road. This project aims to significantly ease city traffic congestion.
The road spans 15 km, including 4.5 km of tunnels, bridges, and an overpass. The tender for lighting and tunnel management will take place on March 6. The works are expected to be completed within 420 days after signing the contract.
Two Major Tenders: Beaches and Wastewater Treatment Plants
A tender has been announced for the lease of beach kiosks between Okurcalar and Kargıcak.
On March 11, a tender will be held for the maintenance and modernization of wastewater treatment plants to eliminate unpleasant odors.
Stray Dogs to Become Garden Guards
The municipality is launching the "Adopt a Stray Animal" program, under which stray dogs will be assigned to guard banana and avocado plantations.
Before being placed in gardens, the animals will undergo neutering and vaccination. The program aims to reduce crop theft and address the issue of stray animals. Applications for participation can be submitted to Alanya's veterinary department.
