The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has announced the launch of four new types of visit visas and major updates to existing entry visa regulations. These measures aim to strengthen the UAE’s position as a global hub for innovation, technology, and tourism.
New visit visa categories
The ICP has introduced four new types of visas designed to attract professionals, investors, and tourists:

AI Specialist Visa — issued for single or multiple entries, requiring a letter from the sponsoring or host organization.

Event Visa — allows temporary entry for festivals, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and sports or cultural events. Requires an invitation letter from the event organizer, whether a public or private entity.

Multiple-entry Tourist Visa (cruises and yachts) — intended for tourists arriving by sea, requiring an approved itinerary and a licensed hosting establishment.
Updated sponsorship requirements
New minimum monthly income thresholds have been introduced for UAE residents sponsoring friends or relatives:

First-degree relatives — from AED 4,000 per month

Updates to existing visa types
Business Exploration Visa now requires proof of financial solvency or professional status with an active business outside the UAE.
Truck Driver Visa may now be issued for single or multiple trips. The sponsor must be a shipping or logistics company. Financial guarantees and health insurance are mandatory.
Humanitarian Visa is now limited to one year. The residence permit becomes invalid if the beneficiary leaves the UAE. In certain humanitarian cases, the ICP Director General may waive financial or kinship requirements.
Visas for widows and divorced women
New rules allow foreign widows and divorced women to retain their residency in the UAE:

If the husband was a foreigner, the woman with child custody and her children may receive a six-month renewable residence permit, subject to financial and housing conditions.

If the husband was a UAE citizen, a residence permit may also be granted after divorce or death, under similar conditions.

Novi uslovi za sponzorstvo
Uvedeni su minimalni mesečni prihodi za stanovnike UAE koji žele da pozovu rođake ili prijatelje:

Ažuriranja postojećih viza

Viza za vozače kamiona može biti izdata za jedno ili više putovanja. Sponzor mora biti brodarska ili logistička kompanija. Potrebne su finansijske garancije i zdravstveno osiguranje.
Humanitarna viza sada važi godinu dana. Dozvola boravka postaje nevažeća ako korisnik napusti UAE. U određenim humanitarnim slučajevima, generalni direktor ICP-a može ukinuti zahtev za prihod ili stepen srodstva.
Vize za udovice i razvedene žene
Nova pravila omogućavaju stranim udovicama i razvedenim ženama da zadrže boravak u UAE:
