Tropical Fruit Festival to be held in Alanya

The municipality of sunny Alanya, Türkiye, invites everyone to the 4th Tropical Fruit Festival. More than 40 different types of tropical fruits are grown here!

The event is organized to promote and showcase the unique flavors grown in the fertile lands of the tropical climate and to support Alanya’s producers.

The Tropical Fruit Festival will take place behind the old town hall on October 10–12.
Event hours: 08:30 – 18:30
It will be a festival full of delicious stands, interviews, competitions, and colorful activities.

The municipality has also announced the opening of applications for competitions that will be held within the festival:

• The heaviest cluster of Cavendish bananas grown in Alanya.
  
  

• The heaviest avocado of the Fuerte variety grown in Alanya.
  Applications are accepted at the municipality and the Agricultural Chamber of Alanya until October 6, 2025.
  
  

There will also be a pomegranate peeling contest, with participants selected from the audience.

Alanya grows a wide variety of fruits. Among the most popular are bananas, avocados, mangoes, dragon fruit (pitaya), passion fruit, papaya, and loquat. Other fruits grown here include kumquat, pepino, goji berries, lychee, lime, guava, pineapple, physalis, jackfruit, carambola, cherimoya, and many others. Thanks to its mild climate and fertile soil, the region has become a true hub for tropical fruits in Türkiye.
