Türkiye: Foreign Home Sales Expected to Recover — Survey Results
According to a joint housing market expectations survey conducted by KONUTDER and NielsenIQ Türkiye, signs of a recovery in property sales to foreign buyers in Türkiye are beginning to emerge.
After a period in which foreign home sales fell to some of the lowest levels in recent years, expectations of recovery are forming amid ongoing geopolitical developments. About 33% of survey participants now expect an increase in purchases by foreign buyers. In comparison, only 4% anticipated such growth in the second half of 2025.
KONUTDER President Ziya Yılmaz noted that recent developments in the Persian Gulf region could influence investment flows. According to him, some investment interest previously directed toward markets like Dubai may gradually return to Türkiye, where moderate signs of recovery are already visible.
The survey also showed that expectations for rising housing prices increased from 72% to 83%, with construction and development costs remaining the key driver.
Meanwhile, expectations for rent increases declined from 80% to 62.5%.
