Türkiye demonstrates power. News and key events

In New York, within the framework of the 17th Turkish Investment Conference organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) and the Turkish-American Business Council (TAİK), a grand reception was held.

The event brought together Türkiye’s key ministers — of finance and treasury, trade, industry and technology, energy and natural resources — as well as the head of the Central Bank Fatih Karahan and representatives of business circles from the US and Türkiye. The conference became an important platform for strengthening business ties and presenting the country’s opportunities to global investors.

President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, within the framework of the Turkish Investment Conference in New York, emphasized that the goal of increasing trade turnover between Türkiye and the US to $100 billion remains a common strategic task of the two countries. According to him, in 2024 this figure already exceeded $35 billion, and the parties intend to accelerate growth through new investment initiatives and active participation of the private sector.

Erdogan paid special attention to cooperation in the defense industry, noting the need to remove existing barriers and expand joint projects, including the creation of new production chains. He also emphasized the prospects of cooperation in such strategic areas as energy, cyberspace, and space. According to him, the developed logistics infrastructure, modern ports, highways, and railways have turned Türkiye into a key investment and trade hub on the international arena.

In Istanbul, the largest technology and aviation festival in Eurasia, TEKNOFEST İstanbul, was also held. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, addressing the youth, emphasized that it is their courage and confidence that form the foundation of a strong Türkiye. This year, 565 thousand teams and 1.2 million participants from all 81 provinces and 96 countries of the world took part in the festival competitions, which became a record.

Special attention in the president’s speech was paid to Türkiye’s military power and defense technologies. Erdogan noted that the country has entered the world’s top three leaders in the field of UAVs and SİHAs, ranks 11th in the world in defense exports, and is among the 10 countries capable of designing and mass-producing its own warships.

The president stressed that Türkiye is now creating new success stories on land, in the air, and at sea, using domestic systems, strengthening defense with unmanned tanks, ships, modern radars, and electronic warfare systems. Erdogan announced that the army was recently supplied with the “Steel Dome” air defense system, consisting of 47 units of equipment.

Türkiye is a technological and military leader in the region and a magnet for investors on the international stage.

In July 2025, housing sales in Türkiye increased by 13.5%, reaching 125,100 transactions — the best result since the beginning of the year. Interested in real estate and investments?
