Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Inspects the World’s First Air Taxi Station in Dubai
On April 16, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, reviewed the progress at the air taxi station located near Dubai International Airport. According to him, the world’s first station of this kind is now fully ready.
It will form part of a large network that will also include stations in Downtown, Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai Marina. The entire network is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026. The first station is expected to serve around 170,000 passengers per year.
Sheikh Hamdan has instructed that the service be launched for public use this year, meeting the highest international safety and quality standards.
“This project is a key milestone in Dubai’s urban mobility development. It will reduce travel time and bring the city closer together,” noted Sheikh Hamdan. He thanked the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) team and all local and international partners for delivering this landmark project, which coincides with World Public Transport Day on April 17.
