Ramadan Event Program in Alanya

The Municipality of Alanya will open the traditional “Ramadan Evenings” on February 20. Throughout the month, residents and guests of the city will enjoy musical performances, show programs, and cultural events reflecting the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month.

The annual project, which has become a cherished tradition, will take place in the square next to the Old Municipality Building. The events will continue until March 18. Throughout the month, the venue will welcome guests free of charge, bringing together people of all ages — from children to elderly residents.

The program includes Karagöz and Hacivat puppet performances, shows by the Alanya Municipality Rhythm Workshop, juggling shows, the Clown Badem Show, children’s plays by the Alanya Municipal Theatre, magic shows, and many other entertainment activities. The area will also feature themed stands recreating the atmosphere of traditional Ramadan evenings and allowing visitors to experience a touch of the past.

As part of the concert program, well-known performers and artistic groups will take the stage at Ramadan Square each week. The opening ceremony on February 20 will feature a Sufi music concert by Fırat Türkmen and Ahmet Fescioğlu. In the following days, the audience will enjoy performances by Orhan Hakalmaz, Selim Bölükbaşı, Senai Demirci, Uğur Önür, Hatice Kübra Tongar, Ender Balkır, İncesaz, İmera, İsmail Altunsaray and Özge Öz.

Throughout the month, local artists and music groups will also perform, including Murat Kuşan, Ahmet Mutlu Terzioğlu, the “Gönül Dostları” Turkish Classical Music Choir, “Dost Meclisi” ensemble, “Alanya Faslı Şahane” Choir, ALSAV Turkish Music Youth Choir, ALKÜ Faculty of Education Department of Music Teaching Concert, “Voices from Alanya” Choir, “Ahenk” Turkish Folk Music Ensemble, Mahmutlar Gönülden Gönüle Nağmeler Folk Music Concert, “Ezgi” Folk Music Ensemble and ALSAV Turkish Folk Music Choir.

Ramadan Square will be decorated in a nostalgic style, reflecting the atmosphere of traditional Turkish Ramadan evenings. Organizers have prepared cultural and entertainment programs for children and adults aimed at strengthening unity, solidarity, and the spirit of sharing.

Mayor of Alanya Osman Tarık Özçelik invited all residents to share the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan and participate in the festive events.
