Major Investments in Alanya’s Water Infrastructure

A meeting organized by Antalya Water and Wastewater Administration (ASAT) was held at Alanya Municipality to discuss current and planned projects in water supply, sewage, and wastewater treatment. The event was attended by municipal representatives, council members, journalists, and civil society organizations.

ASAT Deputy General Director Osman Yıldız presented a report: Alanya currently operates hundreds of wells, pumping stations, and reservoirs, with a total water supply network exceeding 2,500 kilometers. The city has 7 wastewater treatment plants, and the sewage network stretches nearly 811 kilometers. The total completed investments have already exceeded 3.017 billion lira.

Yıldız emphasized that even larger projects are ahead: over the next six years, Alanya will receive investments exceeding 19.7 billion lira. Most of the funds will be allocated to wastewater treatment systems, as well as water supply and sewage projects.
