Long-term rental in Mediterranean resorts in 2025
Spain (Costa del Sol and others): a 1-bedroom apartment in city centers rents for around €800–1,200/month. Málaga and Marbella are in high demand with rising prices, especially in tourist zones. The national average for a 2-bedroom apartment is around €1,010/month, while in cities like Barcelona and Madrid — €1,600–1,900. The Balearic Islands show an average of €1,440.
Italy (north and south): in major cities like Milan, a standard 2–3 room apartment can cost €1,800–3,400/month.
How to move to Türkiye
In 2025, buying an apartment in Alanya allows you to obtain a tourist residence permit. With rental, the chances of getting an ikamet are low. You need to choose districts that are open for residence permits.
For a residence permit based on property ownership (not tourist), the cadastral value must be at least USD 200,000, and the district must be open for residency.
If you have a work permit and visa, the rental location does not matter.
You can stay in Türkiye without a visa for 2–3 months depending on your nationality. A long-term rental is considered anything over 100 days. Short-term rental for a 1+1 apartment starts from €50 per day.
