From July 3 to 13, 2025, Alanya is hosting two major sporting events — the European Beach Handball Championship for Juniors EHF YAC17 and the adult Beach Handball EURO 2025. This is a vivid continuation of history: it was in Alanya, back in 1995, that beach handball was first played in Türkiye, and 30 years later the city once again becomes the center of Europe’s main summer handball festival.
