The scale is impressive! Dubai Run is one of the largest mass sporting events in the world and a key part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. The first run took place in 2017, and by 2024 it had grown into a record-setting event with 278,000 participants. In 2022, more than 193,000 runners joined the route — and the number keeps increasing every year. For a few hours, the city’s main highway, Sheikh Zayed Road, transforms into a giant running arena where residents and visitors of all ages and fitness levels start together.
In 2025, the run supported by Mai Dubai will once again take place on 23 November. The route will pass along Sheikh Zayed Road, giving participants the chance to run past iconic landmarks including the Museum of the Future, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Opera, Emirates Towers, and Dubai Canal Bridge.
Dubai Run 2025 Routes
Participants can choose between two options depending on their level:
5 km
Suitable for everyone: families with children, beginners, and those who prefer a leisurely pace. The route starts near the Museum of the Future, passes Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera, and finishes near Dubai Mall.
10 km
A more dynamic option for experienced runners. It starts near the Museum of the Future, goes across Dubai Canal Bridge, returns to Sheikh Zayed Road, and finishes near the DIFC Gate.
When registering, participants can sel ect their preferred start time. The first slots begin at 4:00 am, and capacity is limited to ensure safety.
Registration & Race Pack Collection
To participate, you must collect your bib number and T-shirt. Pick-up is available at the Dubai Municipality 30x30 Fitness Village in Zabeel Park fr om 3 to 22 November.
During peak hours, it’s best to bring a hat and water. Using the Metro is the most convenient way to get there — the nearest station is Max. Parking is available inside the park for those arriving by car.
Recommendations for Race Day
Arrive early. The Metro is the easiest way to reach the start:
• 5 km route — World Trade Centre station
• 10 km route — Emirates Towers station
Make sure your NOL card has at least AED 15.
If you are coming by car, you can park at Dubai World Trade Centre (for 10 km) or Dubai Mall (for 5 km), then take the Metro to the starting point.
People of Determination can find detailed guidelines on the official website.
Dubai Run is not a competition — you can walk, jog, or run at your own pace. Mai Dubai water stations are available at the start, finish, and along the route to help participants stay hydrated.
Your bib number is mandatory; without it, access to the route is not allowed. If you want to take photos or stop, move to the side so as not to block other participants. Children can join but must be accompanied by adults.
Lost items can be retrieved through stewards. For returning home, the Metro is again the most convenient option — Dubai Mall, Dubai World Trade Centre, Emirates Towers, and Max stations will all remain open.
Participants traditionally share their photos and videos online using the hashtags: #DubaiRun, #DubaiFitnessChallenge, #Dubai30x30.
