Digital Healthcare Reform in Northern Cyprus

The Ministry of Health of the TRNC announces the launch, starting March 2, of a new electronic appointment system for public hospitals — Hastane Randevu Sistemi (HRS).

The ministry emphasizes that this is not just a technical update. It is a systemic reform aimed at increasing the accessibility of medical services and simplifying the appointment process for patients.

The previous appointment procedure will remain in effect until the beginning of March. This will ensure a smooth transition and minimize possible disruptions.

How the new system will work

Appointments with a doctor can be made:
by phone;
online — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For online booking, an account on the TRNC e-government portal — e-Devlet — will be required.

A password for the e-Devlet system can be obtained at district administrations (kaymakamlık offices). After registration, patients will be able to log into their personal account via mobile applications or the website edevlet.gov.ct.tr and book appointments online.

Important to consider:

▪ Short-term technical disruptions may occur during the launch period.
▪ At present, access to e-Devlet is available only to citizens of the TRNC.
▪ A separate access mechanism is being developed for foreign nationals.

Authorities note that technical and administrative teams are working to ensure that the transition to the new system is as smooth as possible and without significant difficulties for patients.
