Construction of a VIP Terminal Launched at Alanya–Gazipaşa Airport

A large-scale expansion and modernization project has officially begun at Alanya–Gazipaşa Airport (GZP). The initiative aims to make more efficient use of existing capacity and is expected to become an important driver for the development of Alanya’s tourism potential, particularly in the premium segment.

As part of the project, the terminal area will be expanded by approximately 2,500 m². Waiting areas for both domestic and international flights will be doubled in size, while duty-free zones, cafés, and internal passenger flow systems will be upgraded.

Special attention is being given to increasing parking capacity, which will help reduce traffic congestion around the terminal entrance. The key element of the project is the construction of a new VIP terminal, designed for high-end passengers and business aviation, significantly enhancing Alanya’s image as a destination with a high level of service.

The President of the Alanya Tour Operators Association (ALTID), Cem Özcan, and ALTAV spokesperson Alper Gençelli emphasized that the investments aim not only to increase passenger capacity but also to improve overall comfort and service quality.

Tourism experts believe that airport modernization, combined with the development of sports, agricultural, and cultural tourism, will help Alanya strengthen its position as a year-round tourist destination and attract new visitor segments.

⚠️ Due to ongoing construction and modernization works, passengers are advised to pay close attention to airport signage until October 2026.
