According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Construction Cost Index (CCI) in Türkiye rose by 23.94% year-on-year in February 2025 and by 1.24% compared to the previous month.
Material costs increased by 1.99% month-on-month and by 19.49% compared to the same month last year. Labor costs slightly decreased by 0.02% monthly but grew by 32.38% on an annual basis.
Building Construction: 24.44% Yearly Growth
The index for building construction increased by 1.13% compared to January 2025 and by 24.44% year-on-year. Material costs rose by 1.97% monthly and by 20.43% annually. Labor costs decreased by 0.23% from the previous month but increased by 31.68% compared to February 2024.
Civil Engineering: Labor Costs See Significant Annual Increase
The civil engineering construction index rose by 1.59% month-on-month and by 22.34% year-on-year. Material costs increased by 2.04% monthly and 16.64% annually, while labor costs rose by 0.74% for the month and 34.97% year-on-year.
Construction Production Up 12.7% Year-on-Year
Construction production rose by 12.7% compared to February 2024. Subsector growth included:

specialized construction activities up 7.1%.
Monthly Decline in Construction Activity
Compared to January 2025, overall construction production decreased by 0.3%. Building construction dropped by 0.9%, civil engineering by 0.2%, while specialized construction activities increased by 1.6%.
