Alanya to Celebrate the 99th Anniversary of Maritime and Cabotage Day on July

The traditional maritime festival of Turkey will be held with great enthusiasm, featuring shows, competitions, a photo exhibition, and night swimming at the beach near the Red Tower.

The event will take place at Alanya Harbor on Tuesday, July 1, starting at 18:00.

The celebration marks the anniversary of the Cabotage Law (1926), a symbol of the sovereignty of Turkish maritime navigation and the right to fly the crescent and star flag in territorial waters.

The program includes a photo exhibition (pier entrance), stand-up paddleboard and flyboard shows, swimming competitions, boat pulling contests, the greasy pole flag challenge (yağlı direk), and a light show at Soğlukkapı Beach.

At 21:30, a night swim will take place at Soğlukkapı Beach under the Red Tower (Kızılkule Altı, Soğlukkapı Beach). The night swim in the illuminated sea is open to everyone. Registration is required via phone at +90 532 437 54 56 or on the website alanya.bel.tr.

Additionally, the military submarine TCG 1. İnönü will be open for visits.

The event is organized by the Alanya District Governorate, Alanya Municipality, and the Port Authority.

Prizes will be awarded to participants, and the winner of the main competition will receive a special championship belt.
