Alanya on the Path to Modernization: New Regulations, Infrastructure and Projects for Residents and Tourists
Updated Urban Transformation Procedures
Alanya has introduced a new digital procedure for urban transformation. After submitting a notification to the Land Registry Office, information about the project is posted on the property, and all further notifications are sent electronically. Property owners, especially those living abroad, are advised to check their email regularly.
In addition, decisions on transformation projects now require the approval of only 50.1% of owners, eliminating the need for general meetings.
Expansion of Public Cafés
The Alanya Municipality is expanding its network of public cafés. A new café will soon open in the Hacıkaranfiller Mansion near the local high school. Future cafés are also planned in Mahmutlar, Kestel, Avsallar, and Konaklı. The goal of the project is to create community spaces, rather than generate profit — similar to successful models in Istanbul and Mersin.
VIP Helicopter Flights to Cyprus
The company FlyMe has launched helicopter flights from Alanya to Kyrenia, Nicosia, Bafra, and also to popular Turkish destinations like Antalya, Belek, Bodrum, Çeşme, and Marmaris. Prices range from $400 to $600 per person. Sightseeing helicopter tours in Alanya are also available.

Terrace Road Under Renovation
Works have started on the 3950-meter-long Terrace Road, connecting Sugözü and Küçükhasbahçe neighborhoods. The old asphalt is being replaced, with completion expected by May 10. Traffic will be limited to one lane during the works.
Natural Gas Expansion in Alanya
Since January, natural gas has been supplied to the Oba and Çıplaklı neighborhoods. Other areas will be connected once the main pipeline from Mersin Port is completed. The project aims to bring Arab gas to Alanya through this pipeline.
Construction Begins on Antalya–Alanya Highway
The Turkish President has signed a decree to expropriate land for the long-awaited Antalya–Alanya highway. The project, which affects the Serik, Manavgat, and Alanya districts, will greatly improve connectivity between the two tourist cities.
