25th Alanya Atatürk Half Marathon and Public Run to Take Place

The traditional Alanya Atatürk Half Marathon and Public Run will be held for the 25th time this year. The large-scale sporting event will take place on April 13, 2025, in Alanya. Both professional athletes and amateur runners — including foreigners and children — are welcome to participate.

Event Schedule:

Saturday, April 12:
10:00–17:00 — Race pack collection
18:00–18:30 — Race briefing and press conference
18:30 — Pasta party

Sunday, April 13:
09:00 — Start of the Half Marathon
11:00 — Start of the 5 km Public Run
11:30 — Start of the 2 km Family/Children’s Run
13:00 — Award ceremony

Participants must be 18 or older to enter the Half Marathon. Youth aged 14–18 may join the 2 km and 5 km runs with a signed parental consent letter.

About the Event

Organized since 1999 by the Alanya Branch of the Atatürkist Thought Association, the Alanya Atatürk Half Marathon was added to the Turkish Athletics Federation’s official calendar in 2000. It is the only long-distance race in Turkey named after Atatürk.
